In the bar

In a bar, but not drinking, this is the tap room of the Tomos Watkin Brewery in Swansea. They produce a range of beers and lagers in cask, keg and bottles which are exported throughout the world. Latest addition to the range is the 1879 lager, on keg but selling well in their pubs across Wales. It will also be in the Rake in Borough Market for their Welsh Beer Festival next week.

  1. I wish some of these guys would export to Japan. The market is here. The real ale festival was sold out, once again. beers ran out, etc.
People pay up to 9 quid a pint over here!
Just getting cask here in good condition is the pain. But keg would be fine, as long as once again, it arrived in good condition.
Screw the Greene King, Bellhaven and John Smith's nonsense. Give us real beer!
There has been some interest expressed in bringing in some Dark Star beers. Hope that comes through!
If I got my act together and had more money, I'd be interested in starting a brew pub and importing some fine UK beers (not that that is exactly a piece of cake).
We already have plenty of US hop monsters and European lagers, etc. Not to mention some fine Japanese brews. We need more good stuff from home.
